WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED – We’ve received some questions about our new shirt. Haha, you get it. Or not.
TYPO – I Shall Not Be Moved is a traditional American folk song whose lyrics stretch back to the slave era. The song was adapted by civil rights activists of the 1930s, who changed the lyrics to “We Shall Not Be Moved”. The lyrics represented the determination of those in the Civil Rights movement in the face of government and social oppression, “like a tree that stands by the water, We Shall Not Be Moved.” It sings of the refusal to bow to the powers that be, and the importance of standing up for what you believe in. We Shall Not Be Moved was adopted by English football supporters during the Sixties and nowadays can be heard in stadiums all over the world. New in our shoppa!
IT’S STILL OUR GAME – Yes it is. Still. Still at the terraces. Still walking Reebok Classics and adidas. Still traveling. Still representing for the football supporters all over the world. Still down with graffiti. Still hitting broodjes bal. Still. Still not loving police. Still on the hunt for nice stadiums. Still rocking football shirts. Still. For sure, it’s still our game. Available in our shop now.
We’re proud for hooking up with Niels ‘the Neymar of typography’ Bakkerus, designer of this typo-shirt.
FORZA NAPOLI – Bam, another collabo with artist Paine Proffitt! Famous for his brilliant “oldskool” matchday posters which give us that fair English Football feeling. After his Working Class Spirit he hits our shop again with a fabulous Forza Napoli tee.
“In my paintings I’ve wanted to touch on our feeling of who we are, where we come from, and what we care about. Some of my work is about the sense of identity, home, history, love, culture, and the joys and hardships of life. A large section of my work focuses on football … for me and many, football is a passion and love. The game is central to who we are, where we come from, our past, our family and religion, and there’s an emotional bond between ourselves, our club, our supporters and our town. I aim to capture what the game means to us, whether a memory, a moment, or a connection.”
SHIRTS – Support Your Local all sizes on stock again. And we some Awaydays (L) and Messi (all sizes) back…
